We are so excited to say that results of the largest ever research grant ($4 million) to study the effects of yoga on breast cancer now available.  Dr. Lorenzo Cohen, PhD. was awarded the largest ever grant to research the benefits of YOGA as a genuine tool in helping women through the stages of breast cancer.

Dr. Cohen and I met in a discussion group at the very first IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists) symposium at the Himalayan Institute a few years back.  He was a presenter and spoke of the benefits of yoga for women during breast cancer. Being specific about the autonomic nervous system balancing the hormones of the body, in particular cortisol a stress hormone. Stress as we all know plays a large impact on how we handle life altering circumstances.  Now the results are in and we are all excited to find out the yoga postures and breathing techniques play a large role in healing during breast cancer.

This is a computation on yoga and radiation.
