Breast Cancer Awareness Month Causes Breast Cancer » Natural News Blogs

You have been duped by Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Many of the ‘pink’ products you purchase actually cause breast cancer! The key is finding the CAUSE!

via Natural News Blogs Breast Cancer Awareness Month Causes Breast Cancer » Natural News Blogs.

You have been duped by Breast Cancer Awareness Month! You have been told to buy pink to help support the search for a cure for breast cancer. However, many of the ‘pink’ products you purchase actually cause breast cancer! Further, while some of the funds may go to research, this research has done nothing to prevent breast cancer at all. Buying pink only supports the rising rates of breast cancer.

It’s not your fault. Millions of dollars have been spent to entice you spend your money on ‘pink’ products. It is a great marketing plan. You get to feel good about yourself, thinking that you are supporting a good cause. Meanwhile, the corporations behind it rake in billions of profit dollars.

Pinkwashing of Breast Cancer

One look at the image above (click here if the image is not displayed) gives you a clear picture of ‘Pinkwashing’. Here is the origin of the word:

“Breast Cancer Action coined the term pinkwashing as part of our Think Before You Pink® campaign. Pinkwasher: (pink’-wah-sher) noun. A company or organization that claims to care about breast cancer by promoting a pink ribbon product, but at the same time produces, manufactures and/or sells products that are linked to the disease.”(1)

Unfortunately, most companies promoting ‘pink’ during the month of October only do so to increase sales. While there is nothing wrong with a business increasing its profits, there is a huge ethical issue of promoting cancer-causing products to do so.

Processed and fast foods contain many toxic chemicals that cause cancer. Sugar in products like candy and cookies feeds cancer and accelerates the growth of tumors. Slapping a pink label of a toxic product does not make it safe or magically give it breast cancer prevention powers!

Cosmetic manufacturers are huge players in the pinkwashing of breast cancer as well. Reading the ingredient lists of most of these products quickly reveals many cancer causing, toxic chemicals. Read Killing You Softly; Confessions of your Skin Care for more about the toxicity of skin care and personal care products; as well as, some natural alternatives.

The Focus on the Cure Rather than the Cause

The key to healing all health conditions is to correct the CAUSE of the problem. The majority of cancers are lifestyle related – they are caused by lifestyle choices. Likewise, the majority of cancers can be prevented by making different lifestyle choices.

However, breast cancer research does not focus on identifying and correcting the cause of breast cancer. Rather, the focus is on finding a pharmaceutical cure. You see, if researchers were to help you remove the CAUSE of breast cancer, there would be drastically fewer cases. As a result, there would also be a drastically smaller market for breast cancer drugs.

Bottom line – there is no money in correcting the cause of breast cancer. It is a multi-billion dollar industry that grows bigger by the year. It can only do so by continuing to collect more money and create more drugs. All the while, supporting products and lifestyles that cause more cancer!

Breast Cancer Prevention Month – Unveiling the Cause

How about we make our friends and family aware of breast cancer prevention this month? Let’s all make an effort to change the focus of this month to prevention by unveiling the cause of breast cancer. What are some causes of breast cancer that can be prevented?

  1. Toxicity – This is the leading cause of breast cancer. Toxic chemicals are everywhere in our modern society. From our foods, medicines and vaccines to our skin care and personal care products. We are overloaded with toxicity, especially in the U.S. This toxicity weakens our immune system, preventing it from killing cancerous tumor cells as it normally does day in and day out.

  2. Consumption of Refined Sugar – Sugar feeds cancer cells. Sugar creates an acidic environment in the body that allows cancer to thrive! Over-consumption of sugar and refined carbohydrates causes inflammation throughout your body as well. Inflammation is an underlying cause of many disease from heart disease and diabetes to breast cancer.

  3. Lack of Plant-Based Nutrition – Vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds are the only source essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that support your immune system. Vegetables contain many thousands of phytochemicals that literally kill cancer cells.

  4. Lack of Sunshine – We have been taught to avoid sunshine because it causes skin cancer. However, this has only resulted in more cases of cancer. Why? Because unprotected sun exposure is how your body makes vitamin D. Other than supplementation, you do not get significant amounts of vitamin D from any other other source. Vitamin D is essential for your immune system to function normally and kill cancer cells. We were created to thrive on sunshine – our bodies require it!

  5. Poor Oxygen Intake – Every cell of your body requires oxygen for normal metabolism, to produce energy and to rid itself of toxins. When cellular metabolism is interfered with and toxicity builds up, cancer is the natural result. To effectively deliver oxygen into the three trillion cells of your body, you need regular, high intensity exercise. Exercise is not only good for your heart but it prevents cancer as well. Recent research has shown that simply walking one hour each day lowers breast cancer risk by 14 percent. However, performing more vigorous exercise (high intensity interval training, for example) lowers breast cancer risk by at least 25 percent.(2)

  6. Stressed Nervous System – Your nervous system controls all health and healing in your entire body, including your immune system. When it is stressed, your healing is hampered. Chiropractic physicians are specifically trained to correct this cause of disease. Dr. Ronald Pero, the chief of cancer prevention research at New York’s Preventative Medicine Institute found that people who received regular chiropractic care over a five-year period had a 200% greater immune competence than those who had not received chiropractic care. The chiropractic group also showed a 400% greater immune competence than people with cancer and other serious diseases.(3)

Breast Cancer can be prevented. Breast cancer can be healed naturally as well. However, it requires a completely different approach. It requires correcting the cause of the problem. Adopting a wellness lifestyle that incorporates these aspects will go a long way in actually preventing and reversing cancer. When it comes to breast cancer awareness – the focus should be on the CAUSE!

Question: Who do you know who could be empowered by this information about REAL breast cancer prevention? Would you do them a huge favor and share this information with them? It just might save their life!

Cruelty Free Breast Cancer Charities

Support Animal Cruelty Free CharitiesBy Breast Cancer Yoga Staff:

Wasting Time & Money
We all know that breast cancer is a serious disease that affects most of us in some way (either personally or through someone we know), but did you know that it also affects animals?

In honor of October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we bring you a very important message. Choose to donate to a “cruelty-free” Breast Cancer charity rather than an inhumane animal research charity.

According to both PETA and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, breast cancer charities should stop wasting time and money on inhumane experiments that don’t work: charities such as the American Cancer Society, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation fund cruel and archaic animal experiments.

Cruelty Free Charities
The charities that do not support animal cruel and needless animal research are the  Love/Avon Army of Women, the American Breast Cancer Foundation, and the Breast Cancer Fund. They all put their resources into direct care, clinical studies, community education, and prevention-humane, effective programs that can really help us understand, prevent, and treat breast cancer while improving the quality of life for women with breast cancer.

The following is a list of health charities concerned with breast cancer & cancer research and treatment that DO NOT support animal experimentation:

American Breast Cancer Foundation
AP John Institute for Cancer Research
Avon Breast Cancer Crusade
Breast Cancer Fund
Cancer Care Services
Cancer Fund of America, Inc.
Cancer Project
Gateway for Cancer Research
Quest Cancer Research
Rock Against Cancer
United Cancer Research Society

Medical Research Without Animals Experimentation
Monkeys, rats, mice, rabbits, cats, dogs, and other animals often suffer and die because of horrific tests that are conducted in the name of breast cancer “research.” Besides being cruel, the “research” is also ineffective. Former National Cancer Institute director Dr. Richard Klausner has stated, “The history of cancer research has been the history of curing cancer in the mouse. We have cured mice of cancer for decades, and it simply didn’t work in humans.”

We can replace animal testing and animal experimentation with non-animal techniques that yield both ethical and technical advantages. Our breast cancer charity dollars should support those efforts. Change can happen if we become aware of who we truly support. Like Oprah says “When you know better; you do better.”

Today is the Day

“The desire to write grows with writing.” — Erasmus

By Diana Ross, E-RYT500 Founder of Breast Cancer Yoga
I cannot believe it is already September 15 and I am now writing my “Diana’s Desk” commentary.  However, I refuse to feel guilty of not completing my self imposed schedule (which I set) or feel shame from not being perfect and completing this task on time. Today is the day.  Life is too short to waste any time fretting about content or timing. I know that while I didn’t, others did. And Thank God for that.

What I am saying is “stay in the flow” of life. Spend your time and energy with who you want to be with, and doing what you want to do. Don’t ignore what you must do but be open to letting life flow a bit. Somehow someway when you trust in the flow or the law of attraction things happen perfectly. For me it is getting all my chores done and still having time to can 30 pounds of tomatoes or making sure that I take my own yoga classes twice a week so that I nurture myself. No, I will not feel guilty taking time out for me, and you shouldn’t either.

Being blessed with this authority blog and all the incredible and special contributors has given me an opportunity to trust in the flow, and so far I have gotten amazing results. I didn’t want to pressure anyone into writing. After all there are so many contributors and more coming that somehow I believed that there would always be great content coming through. Writing should be fun. It should be creative. There is no greater reward then putting your thoughts, knowledge and suggestions down on paper and helping others. I do love to write, and our writers do too. You can feel the passion and love that goes with every article. It is our way to serve – you!

Well with the summer ending and fall beginning, and not to mention October coming (Breast Cancer Awareness) there is a shift already becoming palpable and I cannot wait. I have heard back from some new special contributors. Hey and do’t forget to write. Yes!

Please invite your friends to join our blog.
