How To Make An Inspirational Welcome Mat – Breast Cancer Healing Idea’s For The Home

Inspirational Welcome Mat For Breast Cancer HealingTransform your door mat into an inspirational way of welcoming your guests. You can add creative words or messages to people who are arriving at your house and make it warmer and friendly with some simple cheap materials.

Door mats are really inexpensive and usually very durable. If already have one at home, make sure it is clean and dry before start the process. To customize your door mat you will need to decide what you will write on it. It can be some simple words as hello and bye, the first letter of your family´s name or a beautiful message.

First you need to print your message or drawing in the size you will want them. Use a stylus to transform the print in a stencil and apply it on your door mat covering all the edge with a paint tape. If necessary you can use some pins to make the stencil well tied to the mat.

Now you can paint the mat. There are two different ways of doing it. First one is using spray paint, the second one is using acrylic paint and a sponge paint brush. The first one is easier and faster but the color won´t be as strong as the second one. The choice is yours!

Apply as many coats as it is necessary to make the writing visible and well painted. Wait the paint dry and place your door mat in a visible place! Your guests will love to be welcome in a creative and lovely way!

Now it’s your turn! We invite you to go create your own festive mat, and show off your style before anyone even walks into your home.
