Another Snow Day – Must Be Time For Tea

Organic Breast Cancer TeasBy Diana Ross, ERYT, Founder Breast Cancer Yoga

You got to love your local news channel. Telling you to stay in, stay warm and stay safe. Maybe you can’t stay in or stay warm because you need to shovel snow or even walk your dog. The last thing you want to do is get a chill or catch the flu bug especially if you are in breast cancer recovery. Did you ever think that one great way to stay safe is to make sure your immune system is strong? And that one sure way of support is by eating the right foods, getting plenty of rest and yes, drinking immune supporting tea. Drinking rich organic teas that supply a substantial amount of nutrients will help boost your immunity against illness, and it is more important when your resistance is low.

In conditions involving inadequate or compromised activity of immunity, immune-stimulant plants are fundamentally important in herbal treatment. This can be immuno-compromise in the face of pathogenic or the inadequate response to the bodies own cells becoming cancerous.

After studying herbal medicines for decades from the experts in their field of study BCY has formulated an easy to digest and nutritive blend of immune boosting herbs that help with the production of antibodies. Our Immune Tea consists of  – echinacea, red clover, nettles, calendula, and orange citrus.

The first herb on the list is Echinacea spp. A herb that is great when taken before the onset of a cold or flu because of it’s antimicrobial and antiviral components. Calendula is a surface immune activator as well as antimicrobial. Nettles plays a role in being an alternative by acting as a lymphatic tonic and is quite nutritive. Red Clover has long been used as a “blood purifier,” specifically for the potential treatment of cancer. Citrus contain a higher concentration of anti-oxidants plus it add such rich flavor to the tea blend.

My advise is to stay warm, stay in, enjoy the snow and sip on some of our ethically  harvested organic teas. Feel the warmth from tea and smile.

Please note that the tea alone will not approach the whole body wellness. You must also incorporate healthy and wholesome support be it physical or emotional.  We must explore our relationship with the world around us on all levels, from the food we eat, the people we love (or hate), to the way they relate to nature. Our spiritual openness and vitality in our own life pursuits have an impact on our wellness. This nurturing tea blend is one way to start, and it even taste great.
